Staying connected in a disconnected world

team zoom call

I’m so proud of my team. The past 3 weeks have been challenging to say the least!

We’ve had to learn brand new laws that have changed several times already; manage a large redundancy consultation project; firefight client queries as they came flooding in from every communication channel you can think of and all whilst working remotely from each other.

We started off copying each other in on everything we did but that soon became overwhelming and so we found a better way; to just copy someone in when their input was required. When I am copied in, I can see that my team are coping really well.

We have daily catch ups, mainly to check in on each other and have a giggle with a quiz or chat. We play DJ tag and recommend songs to each other in our WhatsApp group and share funny memes.

I think the lockdown has made our connection stronger and I’m really looking forward to getting back to work with every one of them.
