It has been necessary for WTL on two occasions in the last year to use the employment law services of Guardian Law. We have found Claire and the team to be easy to work with, responsive to our requirements, and supportive and understanding of the challenges of running a small business whilst needing to comply with the requirements of employment law. The organisation had to close a significant part of its operation that involved making approximately 50 employees redundant. Some of those employees were unionised. As is usual in these situations no one was aware of the possibility of redundancies. Guardian Law provided two excellent HR lawyers in Imogen and Claire to help us through the process. They provided clear and timely advice and ensured that there was regular communication with the staff to minimise queries from them. The impact of Covid 19 on the remainder of the business was disastrous and part way through one round of redundancies we had to commence another and make all staff redundant. This task was picked up at short notice by Claire and a process put in place. As before, Guardian provided accurate and timely advice that kept staff queries to a minimum. During this time I really appreciated the advice and guidance given by both Imogen and Claire to enable a difficult situation to be handled correctly and compassionately.

As a consequence of the recent Covid-19 pandemic Churchill Specialist Contracting Ltd employing 100 members of staff, sought the support and guidance of Guardian Law to navigate them through what were very uncertain times. The service provided by the Guardian team was exceptional and delivered at a pace that served to cause minimal disruption to our business, potential disruption that could have been ill afforded. I would not hesitate to recommend the Guardian team to anyone looking to outsource their HR support requirements.

We needed to update our current employment contracts and staff handbook, so asked for Guardian Lawyers to review our templates and offer advice on improving and updating them. Claire and Bina thoroughly reviewed our templates and gave excellent advice on content, and even provided template clauses and sections we could adapt and use for our new and very much improved employee contracts and staff handbook. They were both extremely efficient, and communication throughout the process was excellent.
